  • Trash bags
  • Heavy-duty work gloves
  • New, unopened socks
  • Sanitized wipes (Clorox, Lysol)
  • Tarps

The police department said the items listed above are often overlooked. Howell’s American Legion will be handling the transfer of donations from Northville Township to Asheville, North Carolina.

Donation bins are available at the following locations 24 hours a day:

  • Northville Township Hall at 44405 Six Mile Road
  • Northville Township Police Department lobby at 41600 Six Mile Road
  • Northville Township Fire Department vestibule at 45745 Six Mile Road

The police department is unable to accept cash donations. To donate items outside the list, contact the American Legion Howell Post 141; they can collect other items and cash donations.

The donation drive ends Oct. 15. After, Northville Township Public Safety Officer Connie Burnett will deliver the donations to Howell’s American Legion—which has semitrailers that can carry the supplies to North Carolina.
