OAKLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Investigators believe a transnational gang is involved in the burglary of a luxury home in Oakland Township.

The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office said the methods burglars used Friday, Oct. 11, 2024, in Oakland Township, are the same methods transnational gangs use to burglarize luxury homes.

“We encourage the community to be alert and call police about any suspicious activity in their area,” the sheriff’s office said in a social media post.

Previously, authorities have said they believe transnational gangs send people into high-end homes to steal cash and jewelry. The robberies appear to be targeted and not random.
