Man who posed as DTE worker to enter Rochester Hills home charged with murder -- what we know

One of two men accused of pretending to be DTE Energy workers to gain access to a Rochester Hills home where a man was murdered and a woman was tied up has been charged with murder.

Carlos Jose Hernandez, 37, of Dearborn, has been charged by Oakland County prosecutors with felony murder and two counts of unlawful imprisonment. Hernandez was arrested on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2024, in Shreveport, Louisiana. The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office said Hernandez was spotted traveling south on I-49 from Arkansas. Investigators pulled him over and took him into custody. He is also wanted in Ohio for an armed robbery warrant.

The Detroit Lions found a secret weapon during their dominant win over the Dallas Cowboys but suffered a major injury setback in their Super Bowl hopes.

The Lions advanced to 4-1 on the season after destroying the Cowboys 47-9 on Sunday (Oct. 13) in Arlington. The victory came on a sour note as star Aidan Hutchinson broke his tibia while sacking Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott.
