Shortly after, police said they received another 911 call from a 25-year-old woman who said she was Lowe’s ex and that she had been shot by him and stabbed him in self-defense. She was taken to a hospital for treatment and is expected to be OK.

According to authorities, Lowe reportedly broke into her home while she wasn’t home and hid. When she returned home, carrying her 2-year-old daughter, he reportedly approached her with a handgun and said she was not allowed to leave the house. The victim said she was able to get a kitchen knife and stabbed him in self-defense when he was distracted. Lowe allegedly shot her in the leg as she ran away with her daughter to a neighbor’s home.

Lowe was taken into custody and transported to a hospital for treatment. He is expected to survive.

Lowe was charged Monday, Oct. 14, with first-degree home invasion, firearm discharge at or in a building causing injury, unlawful imprisonment, assault with intent to do great bodily harm, assault with a dangerous weapon and five charges of felony firearm. His bond was set at $1,000,000.
