‘Make Detroit Great Again’: Donald Trump holds campaign rally inside Huntington Place

Trump vowed to bolster city and national auto manufacturing industry

DETROIT – Former President Donald Trump held a campaign rally Friday at Huntington Place in Detroit.

Supporters held up campaign signs reading “Make Detroit Great Again.”

“Detroit has such great potential, but Kamala and the democrats have been wreaking havoc on it,” Trump said.

Trump vowed to bolster the Motor City and national auto manufacturing industry by imposing tariffs on foreign cars.

“We will reclaim our stolen wealth, and the days of Detroit’s economic glory will return greater and stronger than before,” Trump said.

Technical difficulties caused an unexpected lull in the rally.

The audio went out for 20 minutes, during which time Trump stood on stage and waved to supporters.

“I didn’t like the (microphone) anyway. Let me know, and if it goes off again, I’ll sue their ass off,” Trump said once the audio issues were resolved.

Detroit-based rapper and record producer Trick Trick briefly joined Trump on stage.

Thomas Hearns even made an appearance.

“We need to treat this election like it’s the most consequential election of our lifetime,” Rogers said.
