OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. – Eastbound I-696 at M-5 near the I-96 interchange was closed early Monday morning due to a jackknifed semi-truck.
The freeway closed down at around 4:40 a.m. on Oct. 21. The Michigan Department of Transportation said vehicles can re-enter I-696 from the eastbound M-5 ramp.

It’s unclear if anyone was injured. The road reopened to traffic just after 7:30 a.m. on Monday.
