A key focus was transitioning the property in a way that would benefit Auburn Hills, Oakland County, and the surrounding area long term.

The 715,000-square-foot site along I-75 will be operated by Piston Automotive (owned by former Bad Boys member Vinnie Johnson, the nation’s largest minority-owned automotive supplier.

The plant will supply parts to support General Motors’ Orion Assembly. Additionally, 20 acres remain to the north of the facility for future development.
