Motorcyclist killed in Oak Park crash with unoccupied school bus

No students were onboard of school bus at time of crash

OAK PARK, Mich. – A 29-year-old man riding a motorcycle was killed after colliding with an unoccupied bus in Oak Park.

The crash occurred on Monday (Oct. 21) at 4:17 p.m. on West 8 Mile Road and Westhampton Street.

Officials said the school bus didn’t have any students in it during the crash, but when Oak Park emergency personnel arrived, they pronounced the 29-year-old man dead at the scene.

Officials said the man was transported to the Oakland County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The Michigan State Police, in conjunction with the Oak Park Public Safety Investigations Bureau, are investigating the crash.
