WESTLAND, Mich. – Two friends from Canton Township won a lottery jackpot worth more than $384,000.
Michael Rawson, 68, and Jitendrakumar Patel, 60, form the Jay Ambe lottery club, and they bought a winning Fantasy 5 ticket at Charlie’s Liquor Store on South Venoy Road in Westland.
They matched the winning numbers from the Sept. 12 drawing: 08-16-20-21-28.
Their total prize is worth $384,709.
Rawson said the duo has been playing the lottery together for a long time.
They visited Michigan Lottery headquarters and received about $192,000 each, before taxes.
With their winnings, they plan to take a cruise and invest.
