RIVER ROUGE, Mich. – The family of a 13-year-old boy who disappeared this weekend in River Rouge believes he “is in immediate danger.”

📄 UPDATE: Police believe father took missing River Rouge teen and fled toward Florida

Police said Christopher Brown, 13, was last seen at 10:07 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, 2024, at the McDonald’s restaurant at 10995 West Jefferson Avenue in River Rouge.

The boy was seen chaining his bicycle to a rack outside and going in for about one minute, police said. Cameras captured him leaving the restaurant and getting into the front passenger seat of a dark-colored Chevrolet Tahoe.

The Tahoe had a Florida license plate with the number DSM1544.

Family members said they tried to call Brown‘s cellphone, but he didn’t answer. That is not his typical behavior, they said.

Brown has recently stopped taking his medication. Family members believe he is in “immediate danger,” according to police.

He is described as being 5 feet, 2 inches to 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighing about 175 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, red shorts, and brown shoes. He was carrying a red binder.

Anyone with information is asked to call the River Rouge Public Safety Department at 313-842-8700, extension 1. You can also call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP to remain anonymous.
