9-year-old girl grazed in Detroit drive-by shooting

Multiple shots were fired into the home

DETROIT – A 9-year-old girl was grazed by a bullet in a drive-by shooting on Detroit’s west side early Wednesday morning.

The shooting happened at 7:10 a.m. in the 15400 block of Kentfield Street.

Detroit police say the girl was grazed by a bullet when a shooter drove by and fired multiple shots into the home.

No arrests have been made at this time, according to police.

Another child was also injured in a separate shooting in Detroit Wednesday morning. In that shooting, 3-year-old boy was shot in the stomach. The child was taken to the hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.
