The woman met Outerbridge a week before the incident during a chance encounter while having some auto work completed. This led to the two going on a short date at a house party and meeting at Outerbridge’s apartment in Hazel Park.
She ate some food and, at some point, police said she and Outerbridge hugged and kissed. When Outerbridge started groping her, she made it known she did not want to have any sexual relations.
Outerbridge allegedly disrespected her wishes and sexually assaulted her.
After the alleged assault, the woman took her things and left the apartment. That’s when she drove to the police department to report the sexual assault. She was taken to a local hospital for a medical evaluation.
Outerbridge was arrested later Wednesday morning and was charged with Criminal Sexual Conduct in the third degree. He was arraigned on Nov. 1 and his bond was set at $10,000. He is required to have a GPS tether and no contact with the victim when he’s released.
