He purchased his winning ticket at Belmont Services at 22110 Ford Road in Dearborn Heights, according to Michigan Lottery officials.

“I play Fantasy 5 every day,” said Kour. “I looked up the winning numbers on the Lottery app after the drawing and said to my wife: ‘I think I may have won half of the jackpot!’ We didn’t get too excited at first because I have been one number off a few times, so we thought maybe that was the case. After looking over the winning numbers and my ticket a few more times, we knew it was real!”

Kour recently claimed his prize and said that with his winnings he’s going to take his wife on a shopping spree and then save the rest.

Each Fantasy 5 play is $1. For an additional $1 players can add an EZMatch to their Fantasy 5 ticket, which gives them a chance to win up to $500 instantly.

Players can also add Double Play to a Fantasy 5 ticket for an additional $1, giving them the chance to win up to $110,000 in the Double Play drawing that happens each night.

Fantasy 5 drawings are held each day at 7:29 p.m.
