Alleged disturbance erupts involving 20 people during voting at Warren City Hall

An alleged disturbance took place during voting by 20 people at Warren City Hall. (WDIV)

WARREN, Mich. – An alleged disturbance took place during voting by 20 people at Warren City Hall.

The incident occurred on Monday (Nov. 4) at 4:20 p.m. Officers were dispatched because the 20 people were upset over a voting issue at City Hall.

Officers arrived in under four minutes and contacted the City Clerk and her staff.

Officials say there was no active disturbance at the time. City Clerk staff reported that one female resident was upset because she was not permitted to vote after 4 p.m., as the polls close at 4 p.m.

Staff advised officers that the woman had left the scene before officers arrived.

No arrests were made, and no citations were issued as officers cleared the scene shortly thereafter.
