DETROIT – A fiery crash in Detroit’s east side early Thursday morning killed two people and injured another.
The crash happened near the intersection of Mt Elliott Street and E Forest Avenue just after 3 a.m. on Nov. 7.
According to police, a witness saw a car speeding south on Mt Elliot Street when it hit another vehicle at E Forest Ave. The speeding car then rolled over and caught on fire.
The driver of the speeding car was ejected from the car and died at the scene. A passenger was trapped in the burning car, and she also died at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle that was hit was taken to a local hospital for their injuries.
The intersection is still closed as of 7 a.m. on Nov. 7.
