Roadworker dies from injuries after being hit by car on I-75

A worker who was struck by a car after setting a flare pattern on I-75 in Detroit on Wednesday died from his injuries.

The crash happened just before 1:45 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, in the southbound lanes near Springwells Street. Police said a 71-year-old driver from Allen Park entered the right lane and hit the worker, who was rushed to a hospital in critical condition.

Van Dyke Freeway to see closures in Macomb County over next 3 weekends

A stretch of southbound M-53 will see closures for bridge repair in Utica over the next three weekends.

According to authorities, repairs to the bridge over the Clinton River will close the southbound lanes of the Van Dyke Freeway between M-59 and 18 Mile Road.

Donald Trump wins Dearborn in 2024 presidential race thanks to Arab-American, Muslim voters

Donald Trump won Dearborn as the results show Arab-American and Muslim voters turned their back on Kamala Harris over the war in Gaza and Lebanon.

“We knew that we had a historic opportunity to secure our political power for a generation, and we decided to take advantage of it,” Dearborn resident Amer Zahra said during a press conference Wednesday.

The press conference included a group of Arab American and Muslim voters who have been vocal in their movement to block Harris' path to victory.

Here’s when popular light-up holiday train will pass through Metro Detroit during 2024 tour

A popular illuminated holiday train will pass through Metro Detroit during its 2024 tour.

The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train will begin this tour on Nov. 21 and move through parts of Canada and the United States, according to the Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) railroad company.

Michigan doesn’t have a stop on the tour, but the train will pass through after a scheduled event from 6-6:30 p.m. Nov. 25 in Windsor.
