DETROIT – A worker who was struck by a car after setting a flare pattern on I-75 in Detroit on Wednesday died from his injuries.
The crash happened just before 1:45 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, in the southbound lanes near Springwells Street. Police said a 71-year-old driver from Allen Park entered the right lane and hit the worker, who was rushed to a hospital in critical condition.

Police said on Nov. 7, the roadworker, a 53-year-old Lincoln Park man, died from his injuries.
