MELVINDALE, Mich. – A third suspect has been arrested and charged in the shooting that killed a 20-year-old man in Melvindale in May.
Kyren Harris, 20, of Van Buren Township was arraigned Tuesday in the fatal shooting of Frederick Coleman Jr., of Detroit, and given a $1 million bond.
Harris is the third defendant arraigned in this case. The other two, Taiwan Antonelli Cox Jr., 21, of Detroit, and Curtis Damon Harris, 18, of Ecorse, were arraigned in July.
The three men were all arraigned on the charges of first-degree murder and felony firearm.
At 9:50 p.m. on Thursday, May 9, officers responded to a report of a shooting near Outer Drive and Seaway.
When they arrived, they found Coleman in the driver’s seat of his car with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The defendants allegedly fired guns into the 20-year-old’s car while he was stopped at the intersection. Cox and Harris were arrested and arraigned in July.
