UTICA, Mich. – A stretch of southbound M-53 will see closures for bridge repair in Utica over the next three weekends.
According to authorities, repairs to the bridge over the Clinton River will close the southbound lanes of the Van Dyke Freeway between M-59 and 18 Mile Road.

The closures will take place during the following times:
- 5 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9 - 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 11
- 5 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 16 - 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 18
- 5 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 23 - 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 25
Southbound traffic will be detoured on westbound M-59, southbound Mound Road, and eastbound 18 Mile Road back to southbound M-53.
