YPSILANTI, Mich. – The Ypsilanti Transit Center has reopened after an hours-long closure due to a shooting that left one person injured.

The incident occurred on Wednesday (Nov. 6) at 4:20 p.m. during an altercation between three people, which escalated into a shooting.

Officials say the three people were shooting at each other when one of them (20-year-old) was hit and suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

The 20-year-old, a Ypsilanti Township resident, was transported to a Metro Detroit hospital.

The other two people fled the scene before the officers arrived.

Officials say no one else was physically injured, although a bus was hit during the shooting.
