MDOT to detour traffic near Blue Water Bridge plaza for construction

PORT HURON, Mich. – A portion of the I-94 and I-69 bridge near the Blue Water Bridge plaza will be closed beginning Tuesday for construction.

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will close westbound I-94/I-69 at the Pine Grove Connecter exiting the Blue Water Bridge plaza at 6 a.m. on Nov. 12, 2024, so crews can repair the deck pavement.

MDOT will be detouring traffic via Hancock Street, Pine Grove Avenue and Griswold Street.

The construction is expected to be completed by 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 15.
