Man charged after shooting into occupied residence in Canton Township

Jordon Campbell, 22, was charged with seven counts after he fired into an occupied residence in Canton Township.

The incident occurred on Oct. 29, 2024, in the 5000 block of Annapolis Circle in Canton Township, where officials say Campbell allegedly fired several rounds from a handgun into an occupied residence before fleeing the area.

Officials said several adults, as well as children, were in the residence at the time of the shooting, but fortunately, there were no injuries reported.

On Nov. 8, 2024, Canton police detectives were able to locate and arrest Campbell in Detroit.

The 22-year-old was charged on Sunday, Nov. 10, 2024, by the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office authorized the following charges:

  • Weapons, firearms, discharge in or at a building, 10-year felony, and/or $10,000 fine
  • Weapons, firearms possession by a prohibited person, five-year felony, and/or a $5,000 fine
  • Assault with a dangerous weapon, a four-year felony, and/or a $2,000 fine
  • Weapons, felony firearm, two-year felony
  • Weapons felony firearm, two-year felony
  • Weapons felony firearm, two-year felony
  • Domestic violence, 93-day misdemeanor and/or a $500 fine •
  • Habitual offender second offense notice Campbell was arraigned in 36th District Court set a $50,000/personal bond with home confinement.

Campbell’s next court hearing is scheduled for Nov. 22, 2024, at 35th District Court.
