Comedian, actor, and Metro Detroit native Dave Coulier revealed on the TODAY show that he has been diagnosed with Stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

Coulier, who is best known as Uncle Joey on “Full House” and “Fuller House” was raised in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. He told TODAY that he first noticed the symptoms a little over a month ago. He noticed the lymph nodes in his neck or armpits would swell when he was sick and then he discovered a golf-ball sized lump in his groin area.

Coulier said because the cancer hasn’t spread to his bone marrow, doctors believe his curability rate is upwards of 90%. He has gone through one round of chemotherapy so far, with another round scheduled for Friday.
