MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A 50-year-old man died after he was thrown from his vehicle in a Washtenaw County crash early Wednesday, police said.

At 5:30 a.m. on Nov. 13, troopers responded to Sharon Hollow Road near Wolff Road in Washtenaw County’s Manchester Township after receiving a report of a single-vehicle crash.

An investigation revealed that a 50-year-old Manchester man was driving a 2003 Jeep Wrangler on Shallow Road when he lost control of the car, traveled off the road and overturned.

The Manchester man, who was the lone occupant of the Jeep, was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.

State police say they do not believe the driver was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and say drugs and alcohol don’t appear to be factors.

The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact the Michigan State Police Brighton Post at 810-227-1051.
