Cedar Point announces holiday celebration dates at Castaway Bay, Sawmill Creek

Festive activities for guests of all ages

SANDUSKY, Ohio – As the holiday season nears, Cedar Point announced festive celebration dates at Castaway Bay and Sawmill Creek Resort.

Castaway Bay’s Christmas celebration

Guests at Castaway Bay, Cedar Point’s year-round waterpark hotel, will be able to experience festivities from Nov. 22 to Dec. 31 for Castaway Christmas.

There will be daily meet-and-greets with Santa, Christmas sing-alongs, family-friendly “Reindeer Games,” holiday-themed arts and crafts live performances and a ship lighting ceremony, according to a release from Cedar Point.

Guest can also participate in “Noon-Year’s Eve,” on Dec. 31, where kids can create party hats and use noisemakers to celebrate.

Sawmill Creek Resort’s holiday celebration

The Sawmill Creek Resort will kick off its Season of Joy celebration on Nov. 29, and carry out the festivities through Dec. 31.

“Sawmill Creek shines bright with thousands of dazzling lights inside and out as the Season of Joy returns for another year,” according to a release from Cedar Point. “The sounds of the holidays will echo throughout the resort with “The Mistletones,” a trio of merry songbirds performing in perfect harmony, and the “Sawmill Carolers” with their a cappella four-part melodies. The merriment makers of the “Holiday Helper Hotline” show will bring festive music, heartwarming moments and questionable holiday advice to the audience. “Hideout Holiday Trivia” rounds out the entertainment lineup on Saturday nights."

Guests will also be able to experience the following:

  • Pop-up bar with festive cocktails, wine and craft beers
  • Smore’s & More bar for sweet treats
  • “A Taste of the Season” event to learn how to make festive libations
  • Paint & Sip

In addition, guests can attend the “Toast of the North Coast” New Year’s Eve party, which will feature festive drinks and cuisine and a special countdown to ring in the new year.
