DETROIT – The holiday shopping season is here and we want you to be safe online.

A Detroit woman called me after seeing a wig on Instagram for $512. She paid and the merchandise never arrived.

Remember to always use a credit card it offers more protection than a debit card. And, make sure you look at verified reviews. Know what you’re buying and where you’re buying it from.

Finally, keep track of all your communication with the business owner. And, if you’ve been scammed, contact police, the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General, Dana Nessel.
