DICKINSON COUNTY, Mich. – A 23-year-old man from Norway living in California will stand trial in Michigan after reportedly sexually assaulting two children.
According to authorities, Trentin McWilliams was bound over to stand trial on Friday, Nov. 15, on seven sexual assault felonies. McWilliams was extradited to Michigan by U.S. Marshals in September to face charges.

McWilliams reportedly sexually assaulted a child at a relative’s home in 2018. He was charged by the Michigan Attorney General with second-degree criminal sexual conduct and accosting a child for immoral purposes in July 2024.
In February 2024, he was also charged by the Dickinson County Prosecutor’s Office with three counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct and two counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct. These charges stem from allegations that McWilliams sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl in October 2022.
A pretrial date has not yet been set.
