DETROIT – Two suspects wanted for assault with intent to murder in Roseville were arrested after a police chase in Detroit.

Michigan State Police troopers were on patrol in Detroit at 9:55 p.m. on Tuesday when they assisted with a pursuit involving the suspects, who were traveling in a Chrysler 300.

When they went to the suspects' last known location, they found the suspect vehicle and tried to initiate a traffic stop.

The driver didn’t stop, and the troopers pursued the car until they lost sight of it near 7 Mile and Kelly roads, according to state police.

Troopers searched the neighborhood and spotted the suspect vehicle parked near Liberal and Redmond streets.

State police say when they approached the car, the two suspects ran.

Police used a K9 track and found the suspects, who were identified as a 20-year-old man and a 19-year-old man.

The suspects were taken into custody without incident.

“Both suspects were turned over to Roseville PD on their initial charges,” said Michigan State Police Lt. Mike Shaw. “We will also be seeking charges for the driver for Fleeing to Elude. Great work by all three departments to get these dangerous persons off the street.”
