Will it snow in Southeast Michigan on Friday? Here’s what to expect

Rain Friday; Dry conditions for weekend

After the season's first snowfall on Thursday, rain is expected for Southeast Michigan on Friday, mainly east of U.S. 23. (WDIV)

The first snowfall of the season hit Metro Detroit Thursday, and you may be wondering if more snow is expected for the area.

Scattered snow showers were expected to continue throughout Thursday morning, and snow could also mix with rain in pockets later in the day.

The morning snowflakes may have impacted the morning commute for drivers, but the ground isn’t cold enough for snow to accumulate in most areas.

Rain showers are expected throughout Southeast Michigan on Friday, with highs in the upper 40s. The rain will mainly happen in areas east of U.S. 23.

Dry conditions are expected throughout most of the weekend.
