The holidays are right around the corner! Thanksgiving is just days away and then we’ll be counting down the days to Christmas.
First, let’s talk about Thanksgiving, which will happen on Thursday, Nov. 28.

Now, onto Christmas. You probably have already seen holiday drinks at coffee shops and Christmas decorations at stores. Maybe, you’ve even joined in on the festivities and already have your tree up.

Holiday markets in Downtown Detroit
The Downtown Detroit Markets have returned to Cadillac Square for the 2024 season.
Visitors can purchase unique gifts from several vendors and can visit the Cadillac Lodge, which is a ski-lodge-themed space with festive treats, drinks and more!
Christmas tree, ice rink at Campus Martius
The annual Christmas tree made its way to Campus Martius earlier this month, and the tree lighting ceremony happened on Friday, Nov. 22, kicking off the holiday season.
Visitors can visit Campus Martius to see the 66-foot Norway spruce dazzling with thousands of LED multi-colored lights.
The Rink at Campus Martius opens for the season on Saturday, Nov. 23.
Wayne County Lightfest
The annual Wayne County Lightfest returns to Hines Park and includes nearly 50 animated holiday displays with more than 100,000 lights.
It will be open Wednesday to Sunday from Thursday, Nov. 21, 2024, through Dec. 24, 2024 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
