2-year-old boy, 3-year-old girl killed in Canton Township house fire

Third child remains critically injured

CANTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Police have confirmed a 2-year-old boy and a 3-year-old girl were killed in a Canton Township house fire that happened Sunday.

It broke out at about 5:30 p.m., Nov. 24, at a home off Haggerty Road, just south of Michigan Avenue. The fire killed a 2-year-old boy and a 3-year-old girl and critically injured a 4-year-old boy.

Officials said they were siblings. The parents have been treated and released from the hospital.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
