Man charged for threatening Pontiac clerk with can of gas, lit cigarette over religious beliefs

PONTIAC, Mich. – A Metro Detroit man has been arrested after an alleged case of ethnic intimidation.

The incident occurred on Friday (Nov. 22) night at the Sunoco gas station on Joslyn Avenue in Pontiac.

Noah Johnson, 28, was charged for allegedly threatening a gas station clerk as he walked into the gas station with a can of gas and a lit cigarette.

Officials said Johnson questioned the store workers about their religious beliefs.

Local 4 spoke with the attendant on Monday, Nov. 25, who says he believes Johnson showed up looking for him.
