PONTIAC, Mich. – An Oakland County woman is planning to quit her job after she won $2 million on a scratch-off lottery ticket.

The 47-year-old player, who decided to stay anonymous, purchased the winning Ace of Spades ticket at Perry’s Palace at 411 North Perry Street in Pontiac, according to Michigan Lottery officials.

“I buy lottery tickets regularly always hoping to win big,” the lucky player said. “When I scratched off my Ace of Spades ticket and saw I won $2 million, I was thrilled and couldn’t believe it was real! I called my mom right away to tell her the big news.”

The player chose to receive her prize as a one-time lump sum payment of about $1.3 million.

With her prize money, the player plans to quit her job, take a vacation and then save the rest.

Each $20 Ace of Spades ticket gives players the chance to win prizes that range from $20 to $2 million.
