‘It’s classless’: Michigan football star talks postgame scuffle in upset victory over Ohio State

The Michigan Wolverines have just upset the No. 2 ranked Ohio State Buckeyes in a 13-10 nail-biting victory to improve to 7-5 on the season.

The victory was the first time an unranked Wolverines team upset a ranked Buckeyes team in Columbus since Nov. 25, 1950, when the men in maize took down the then No. 8 ranked Buckeyes 9-3.

After the clock struck triple zeros, the Wolverines celebrated while grabbing their flag to plant it at midfield in the middle of the Ohio State logo.

Holiday stroll to highlight Detroit businesses on Small Business Saturday

It’s often said small businesses are the backbone of the American economy.

As the holiday shopping season goes into overdrive, there are initiatives to remind people how shopping small is big for businesses.

The North End and Milwaukee Junction Business District hopes some of that holiday spending trickles into what’s been known as a creative hub in Detroit.

The African American neighborhood is the first of its kind to receive a Main Street designation in Michigan.

In selecting Patel late Saturday over more conventional contenders, the incoming Republican president is again testing his ability to get the Senate to bend to his will by confirming some of his more provocative nominees.

Weather: A few flurries and cold temperatures for Sunday; another chance of snow moves into Metro Detroit by mid-week

Snow showers and cold temperatures have been the order of business for most of the holiday weekend and we will keep them into the forecast for some of us looking ahead into the end of the weekend on Sunday.

A chance for a few snow flurries will continue into the end of the weekend on Sunday, under a mostly cloudy sky. High temperatures not getting much warmer, remaining into the 30s looking ahead into the afternoon. Once you factor in the breezy winds continuing, wind chills will remain in the teens and 20s for much of the day.

Dry weather move back into the forecast, looking ahead into the start of next week, before all eyes are on yet another system moving in by the middle of the week on Wednesday. This looks to be a clipper system, diving from the northwest down to the south east moving in late Tuesday night and sticking around for the majority of the day on Wednesday.
