PAW PAW, Mich. – An 80-year-old man is facing the possibility of jail time after a drug bust outside of Kalamazoo.
According to authorities, a search warrant was executed at an Almena Township home on Nov. 27 that resulted in the seizure of 1.6 pounds of methamphetamine. Authorities also seized scales and smoking devices from the home.

The suspect, an 80-year-old man, was found inside the garage. He reportedly told detectives that he admitted to trafficking drugs and directed police to the basement where the meth was stored.
Several guns were also found at the home.
The investigation is ongoing. A report will be sent to the Van Buren County Prosecutor’s Office recommending charges when complete.
