You can trade new toys for free tattoos in Detroit -- here’s everything to know

Former Lions star Herman Moore to make appearance

Toys For Tatts. (Motown Tattoo Company)

DETROIT – A tattoo company in Detroit is trading free tattoos for new donated toys to help families during the holidays.

The Motown Tattoo Company is hosting its yearly Toys for Tatts Toy Drive later this month. On Dec. 21, anyone who donates new, unopened toys with receipts will get a free tattoo of equal value to the toy.

All of the proceeds go to families in need in Detroit.

Last year, the event supported more than 120 families, and the goal is to reach even more this year.

Other local tattoo shops are invited to join and further spread holiday cheer.

Former Detroit Lions star Herman Moore is going to make an appearance during the event.

You can join the toy drive at Motown Tattoo, which is located at 15146 Gratiot Avenue in Detroit. For more details, call 313-828-2855 or visit the company’s Instagram page.
