Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Michael Richard Navoy, 70, of Allen Park, in connection with human trafficking and prostitution of women.
The Michigan State Police (MSP) detectives were assisting in a human trafficking investigation on Oct. 1 in Maumee, Ohio, involving Navoy.

Allegedly, the 70-year-old was involved in human trafficking and prostitution, operating out of a Southgate home that he owned.
Officials said the investigation into the matter is ongoing.
Navoy was charged with:
- Count 1 – Accepting earnings of a prostitute (Maximum penalty 20 years in prison)
- Count 2 – Human trafficking – Forced labor resulting in commercial sexual activity (Maximum penalty 15 years in prison)
- Count 3 – Human trafficking – Forced labor (Maximum penalty in prison 10 years)
- Count 4 – Using a computer to commit the crime of forced labor resulting in commercial sexual activity (Maximum penalty 10-20 years in prison)
- Count 5 – Keeping a house of prostitution (Maximum penalty of five years in prison)
MSP arrested Navoy on Dec. 6. 2024.
Navoy was arraigned on Dec. 9 and given a $1 million bond.
His probable cause conference is scheduled for Dec. 20, and his preliminary examination will be on Dec. 27.
