FRUITPORT TOWNSHIP, Mich. – An 82-year-old woman was rescued from a West Michigan lake over the weekend after she had fallen from a dock, police said.
At 12:25 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14, Fruitport police and fire responded to the 300 block of South Third Avenue after receiving a report of a woman falling into Spring Lake.
When officers arrived at the scene, neighbors assisted them in getting the 82-year-old woman out of the lake, police said.
She was taken to a hospital for treatment as a precaution.
“We greatly appreciate everyone who assisted in the incident,” said the Fruitport Township Police Department.
