Linda Murray testified Tuesday morning in the court case for Carlos Jose Hernandez, 37, and Joshua Zuazo, 39, both of Dearborn. The two are accused of killing Murray’s husband, Hussein Murray, at the couple’s home in Rochester Hills.

Linda Murray said during the preliminary hearing that the men showed up to their home the day before the Oct. 11, 2024, murder, claiming to be investigating a gas leak.

The couple didn’t let the men inside, but told them to return the next day, she said. When they came back on Oct. 11, they went into the basement with Hussein Murray.

Linda Murray told the court that when the men returned from the basement, her husband wasn’t with them.

When she asked where her husband was and noticed blood on Zuazo’s vest, Linda Murray said she started to scream, so Hernandez hit her in the face.

She said they duct taped her ankles and wrists together while searching the house for valuables.
