Detroit police search for man linked to murder on west side

Man wanted in connection with murder on Greenfield Road

DETROIT – Detroit police are searching for a man linked to a murder on the city’s west side.

The shooting happened around 5:40 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, 2024, in the 10000 block of Greenfield Road in Detroit.

Dakarrie Adams is wanted in connection with the murder, according to officials.

He was last seen wearing a dark-colored hat, glasses, a black jacket, black pants with distinctive coloring in the front, and black shoes.

He left the shooting scene heading north on Greenfield Road in a white Chevrolet Trax, police said.

Anyone who has information on Adams' whereabouts or knows more about this shooting is asked to call the Detroit Police Department’s Homicide Division at 313-596-2260 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
