Police searching for man allegedly involved in deadly shooting in Detroit’s east side

DETROIT – Detroit police are searching for the suspect accused of shooting and killing a man Monday night.

Officers found a man in his 30s dead with a gunshot wound in the 9200 block of Kercheval Avenue on Dec. 23, 2024, at around 8:40 p.m. Police said the suspect left the area in a white SUV.

Authorities believe the suspect is Craig Michael Bergeron, 34. Police describe Bergeron as having shoulder-length individual braids and was last seen wearing a green jacket, black pants and black boots.
