MACOMB TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A 19-year-old from Auburn Hills has been hospitalized in critical condition following a crash in Macomb Township.
The crash happened at about 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 26. Authorities said a Ford Fusion on westbound 23 Mile Road crossed into eastbound traffic near Indian Pointe Drive, where they struck a Buick head-on. A third vehicle was involved, but it’s unclear if it hit one of the others or was hit.

The driver of the Ford Fusion -- a 19-year-old from Auburn Hills -- was taken to a hospital where he remains in critical condition. The drive of the Buick -- a 62-year-old woman from Oxford -- was taken to a hospital but is expected to be OK.
The driver of the third vehicle did not require medical attention.
The investigation is ongoing. Authorities do not believe alcohol was a factor.
