The crash happened Dec. 20 near the intersection of Ford and Schaefer roads at about 7:30 a.m. Police said the driver of a speeding Jeep failed to stop at a red light and struck a 15-year-old girl who was legally crossing Ford Road.

She remains hospitalized in critical condition.

Police said the Jeep also had illegal window tint on its windshield that causes obscured vision.
