The Trooper was transported to a local hospital with a leg injury.

“It appears that the Trooper suffered a non-life-threatening lower leg injury,” said F/Lt Mike Shaw. “I will update this incident as the investigation progresses.”

Preliminary investigation revealed that the Troopers were inside of their patrol car in the left lane, blocking traffic, when the driver of a Pontiac G6 failed to move over and rear-ended the patrol car.

One of the Troopers was transported and released from a local hospital.

The at-fault driver, who was not hurt, was arrested for reckless driving causing injury, processed, and released.
