At least 18 hurt when Delta flight flips upside down during landing in Toronto

At least 18 people are injured after a Delta Air Lines flight from Minneapolis crashed while landing in Toronto.

Delta Flight 4819, operated by Endeavor Air, crashed at about 2:45 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 17, 2025, at Toronto Pearson International Airport. The flight left from Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport.

There were 80 people on board the flight, a CRJ-900 regional jet, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

All passengers and crew members were accounted for, according to the airport. At least 18 people were injured. One child was transported to the hospital and one person had to be airlifted to a trauma center.

A full ground stop has been issued at the airport.

The Association of Flight Attendants-CWA posted the following statement on social media:

“Our union is responding to an incident in Toronto with Delta Air Lines Endeavor Flight 4819. AFA crew were working this flight. Reports are there are no fatalities. Please do not speculate on this incident as everyone works to gather information and support those involved.”

This crash comes just weeks after the mid-air collision between an American Airlines passenger jet and a U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport killed 67 people.
