Michigan State Police said that the driver, who was operating a GMC Yukon, lost control of the vehicle, struck the center median, and rolled over multiple times, causing him to be ejected from the vehicle and found lying in the roadway.

The crash led to the closure of the freeway as authorities conducted their investigation.

“This crash is an example of what we are seeing on our roadways,” said F/Lt Mike Shaw. “A driver going too fast and losing control of their vehicle, and not wearing a seatbelt. Please keep your speeds down and wear your seatbelt no matter where you are seated in the car.”
