Aaron Michael Brown, 33, from Detroit, was sentenced in Oakland County Circuit Court for assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder, strangulation, and felony firearm charges.
Brown was sentenced to one to 10 years for the assault charge and an additional two years for felony firearms.
The incident occurred on April 5, 2024 at 6:52 p.m., when Brown got into a physical altercation with an employee of the Chipotle restaurant on Evergreen Road in Southfield and then shot the employee in the leg.
Following the shooting, Brown had fled the scene but was quickly arrested by Southfield police that evening.
Charges were filed on April 6, 2024.
