DEARBORN HEIGHTS, Mich. – A man accused of posting threats on social media directed at Dearborn Heights school has been arrested.
On Saturday, Dearborn Heights police received information from another law enforcement agency about “threatening social media postings” directed toward a Dearborn Heights school.
The investigation led police to a home in the 5000 block of Pardee Street, where they arrested Andrew Mark Bays, 25. Police said investigators found multiple firearms and “indications of threatening ideology.”
Bays was arranged on Thursday, March 6, 2025. He has been charged with intentional threat to commit an act of violence against a school and using a computer to commit a crime. The first charge comes with a maximum of 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine, and the second charge comes with a maximum of 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
He is being held on a $500,000 cash bond. He will be required to wear an electronic tether if he posts bond.
