ROMULUS, Mich. – Witnesses said a flight had to pull up while trying to land at Detroit Metro Airport.

Clinical psychologist Dr. Rose Moten was on the Delta Air Lines flight. Moten posted about the incident on social media, “Yall, we were just seconds from landing on the runway and the pilot suddenly without warning went back up again saying it was another plane on the runway too close to us. Pray 🙏🏾 for us.”

The flight did land safely.

Detroit Metro Airport released the following statement: “Our team is not familiar with the event you described. Since the Airport Authority doesn’t manage air traffic control, your best source of information would be the FAA or the airline.”

Local 4 has reached out to the FAA and is awaiting a response.
