Teen arrested following police chase in Oakland County

A teenager from Southfield was arrested by police in Oakland County following a police chase.

It happened Wednesday, March 12. According to authorities, officers with the Berkley Department of Public Safety attempted a traffic stop on a white Ford near 12 Mile Road, but the car sped off toward 11 Mile Road.

Sex offender from Madison Heights arrested for allegedly possessing child pornography for a second time

A Madison Heights man was arrested for apparently admitting to police of possessing child pornography after serving time for possessing child sexually abusive material in Macomb County.

According to court documents, Scott Buhl, a registered sex offender in Michigan, told law enforcement he bought and downloaded images of child sexually abusive material while police were executing a search warrant at his home.

Deep dive into allegations against 4 Oakland County workers in 5-year-old’s hyperbaric chamber death

We’ve learned much more about the specific allegations against the CEO and three other employees of an Oakland County health care facility where a 5-year-old boy was killed in a hyperbaric chamber explosion.

The explosion happened Jan. 31, 2025, at the Oxford Center in Troy. Five-year-old Thomas Cooper was receiving treatment inside the hyperbaric chamber when it exploded, killing him and injuring his mother.
